Wilderness Ski Tour

Experience how to simply and easily find your way on skis through the mountain taiga and tundra landscape, how to find a good bivuak sight and make a campfire, how to have fun and stay warm in the mountains in winter. In addition you may learn something of snow structure, weather patterns, clothing, fauna, flora, local history, culture and folklore.

Ski route according to the weather and group ability

Days: Fridays from 10.12.2011 to 20.04.2012

Time scale : 7 hours approx.

Price: NOK 375,- pr pers, max. 7 people.

Meeting place: Hemsedal Tourist Office 9a.m. or by prior agreement.

Language: Norwegian and English

Reservations: at the Hemsedal Tourist office, Thursday preceeding Saturday
before 10a.m..

Clothing: Warm and windproof skiing clothes, mountain touring skiis, poles and boots, snowgaiters, daysack with; extra layer, lunchpack, warm drink, personal
equipment.

Other: NB!Remember, warm clothes. You will be outside all day.

Mountain Ski Tour

Mountain/CrossCountry Skiing with a local guide. An introduction to traditional mountain skiing, route finding, snow structure, avalanche safety, weather patterns, clothing, fauna, flora, local history, culture and folklore.

Ski route according to the weather and group ability

Days: Saturdays from 11.12.2017 to 21.04.2018

Time scale: 7 hours approx.

Price: NOK 400,- pr pers, max. 7 people.

Meeting place: Hemsedal Tourist Office 9 am. or by prior agreement.

Language: Norwegian and English

Reservations: at the Hemsedal Tourist office, Thursday before 10 am.

Clothing: Warm and windproof skiing clothes, mountain (Telemark) skiis, poles and boots; snowgaiters, your own daysack with; extra clothing, lunchpack, warm drink, personal equipment.

Please bring your own snowspade, avalanche probe etc if you have them.

Other: NB! Participants should be able to carry a daysack at an easy pace for 6 hours in mountain terrain and preferably have a little experience on mountain skis or similar.
