Trøimsbotten - Hiking trail
A hiking trail that goes from the center and takes you all the way into Trøimsbotten. This is a fantastically beautiful route along the Trøimsåne and into the valley.

An idyllic route parallel to a beautiful mountain river up between the mighty Kyrkjebønnøse on the left side and Skurvefjell on the right side as you walk up the valley.
You can go both in and out through the valley on each side of the Trøimsåne, but also do a circular route around Kyrkjebønnøse. Remember that these alternative circular routes are unmarked and that you need a map and compass.
Author's advice
You can do this route as a circular route by crossing the Trøimsåne innermost in Trøimsbotten and walking the trail on the other side of the valley back to the center.
Turn-by-turn directions
The route starts at Hemsedal Tourist Office, and follows the road northward until the trail starts at Kven farm. The trail leads toward the river Trøymsåne before it begins to climb quite steeply upward parallel with the river. You walk upward while the steepness decreases, with the river on the left side all the way until you reach Trøymsbotn where you can choose your route forward or turn around and walk the same way down.
